The Closures - Comments From The Councillors....

Some time ago and in relation to possible upcoming cuts to and/or closures of services Cllr Yvonne Johnson, Cabinet Member for  Finance & Performance said 'There will be no cuts in frontline services...' Hmm...

Cllr Jasbir Anand, Cabinet member: Children & Adult Services refused to answer questions and said 'I'm not talking to the Unions'. Shame on her as a Labour Cllr.

  1. WE CANNOT LET THE COUNCIL OR GOVERNMENT WIN THIS ONE. JOIN US AT THE PUBLIC CABINET MEETING AND LOBBY OUTSIDE THE EALING TOWN HALL NOVEMBER 9TH AT 5pm.   2. To me the whole purpose of Labour is to defend the weak and vulnerable in our society. Maybe the years of New Labour point to something different. This will bring lasting shame on a once fine Party supported by my father and grandad.

  3. New Labour is now a party of big busines. Now is the time for the trade unions to look at building a new mass workers party. If these Councillors will not fight the cuts then they should stand aside a let people who will stand in their place.
