SAVE OUR DAY CENTRE'S: Protest & Lobby of Ealing Town Hall 14.2.13 5.45pm

No If's - No Buts- No Disabilty Cuts!

Following Ealing Council's lamentable decision to go ahead with the closure plans for Stirling Road & Learning Curve day services for the learning disabled at a cabinet meeting on January 22nd the opposition parties immediately launched a 'call in' referring the closure plans to the council's Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
This will be debated by councillors at a meeting (which is open to the public) on Thursday, 14th February, 2013 in Committee Room 3, Ealing Town Hall at 7pm.

Please join us to protest and lobby your elected councillors and try and stop this cold attack on our most vulnerable.

You might wish to bear this spending by Ealing Council in mind...
Ealing's List of shame
  • Ealing Council spent £6.3 Million pounds of taxpayers money employing consultants & interim staff April 2011 - April 2012
  • Ealing Council is spending £5.5 Million on another car park in Southall (with a loan that will cost £500, 000 a year to service)
  • Ealing Council spent £3.6 Million on a new Council wide computer system & £1
    Million on new desks
(apparently the old one's were too long!)

If as a taxpayer you feel agrieved at such ludicrous spending please make it known.
